Lakeway Dance Club

The Lakeway Dance Club has been in existence for several decades. It is thought that the club was part of the original Lakeway Yacht Club and eventually evolved into a separate club. It is governed by a volunteer board of directors and committees.

The club currently hosts 5 dances per year – October,November, January, February and March. Dances are typically held on the third Thursday of the month at the Lakeway Activity Center from 5:45 – 9:00 PM. Each dance has a live band and is BYOB. Members may purchase an optional catered meal at each event. The approximate schedule of each dance is a social time from 5:45 – 6:00, a catered meal from 6:00 – 7:00, and dancing from 7:00 to 9:00. The club tries to select bands that play a variety of music genres, but being in Texas, bands tend to lean toward country music.

Members are asked to bring one homemade dessert per dance season. The primary objective of this club is to have fun.
